CA & CB-Litoral-A   Projects Description           (First & Third Float Over In Mexico)

 

PEMEX Exploration and Production was involved in the development of a Project for the upgrading of the Litoral-A Field infrastructure, which included the construction of two Compression platforms (CA & CB) and a Production Platform (PB).

 

The Litoral-A Field is located in the Bay of Campeche (offshore Mexico) in approximately 26 meters of water depth.

 

DRAGADOS Offshore de Mexico S.A. was awarded, by PEMEX, two contracts including, the engineering, procurement, construction, load out, transport and installation of the Compression platforms denominated CA-Litoral-A & CB-Litoral-A; these contracts included the fabrication and installation of intermediate and flare tripods and three interconnection bridges per project and also included interconnections, tests, and start-up.

 

DOMSA awarded SAIPEM America Inc. the Subcontract for the Marine Transportation and Installation scope of work for both Projects.

 

CA & CB-Litoral-A Topside were installed for a Float-Over method using the ‘Barge S-45’, and the rest of the structures were installed using the Self Propelled Floating Crane (SPFC) ‘Wei-Li’, was performed with the vessel operating in 'Dynamic Positioning' DP II mode, and Anchor mooring, in a draught (8.5 m approximately).
